BIOGRAPHY AND APPEARANCE For those who know of Katherine, Lily is very similar to her sister when it comes to height and build. Small and slight- though slightly shorter than Katherine at just 5’2”- her little weight is muscle just like Katherine, as she also had to spend a long time training to survive. However, build is where resemblance ends for these twins. Lily is noticeably pale, with a sickly pallor suggesting of hidden illness, though she is currently healthier than she has been in months. Her blonde hair is short and unkempt, and her eyes, while blue like Katherine’s, are lighter. She bears scars on her palms and knuckles, but her most noticeable scar stretches down from just above her right eye down to her chin, narrowly missing her actual eye. Many of her other scars, on her arms and legs, are hidden by clothing. When it comes to outfits, Lily isn’t choosy. She takes whatever she needs- and by take, I mean steal- and what she usually needs is dark-coloured clothing that conceals her arms and legs. She’s not against hats either, and often wears those with peaks, to better hide her face, while her scruffy trousers and tops tend to lend to a casual, almost uncaring look- exactly as she intends. She’s not uncomfortable about showing her scars, but prefers to avoid awkward questions by keeping them covered through any means necessary- especially as a coordinator, which she feels appearances would be important for. Lily was born in Kanto, and her early life was anything but easy. Her father, Darius, died when she was two, and when she was four her mother, Tamara, was arrested for stealing items and Pokémon to keep for herself and to sell on illegally- a way of making a living quickly and easily, or so Tamara had thought. So it was early in Lily’s life that she and her numerous siblings- two older, Willow and Matthew, one twin, Katherine, and two younger, Samuel and Poppy- were sent to an orphanage. For almost a year she was in the orphanage, until she was sent to a foster family alongside her twin. While Katherine was the wild child of the pair, aggressive and hostile, Lily was the calm one, the resourceful one who always found ways to calm her sister down and bring about order among her foster family, often by changing the subject to the future, a time when they would be free of the orphanage and the restrictions of rules, free to do as they pleased- in this time, Lily began to express her wish of being a coordinator, whilst encouraging her sister to follow her own goals. At the age of twelve, Lily and Katherine chose to run away from the foster home and try to survive on their own. While Katherine was content to steal goods and items for survival, Lily wanted something more permanent- a way of earning money, and of maybe gaining added protection. She opted for stealing Pokémon, and from a young age made a name for herself as an expert thief, borrowing techniques her mother before her had once known, though Lily herself was unaware of the fact. At the age of fifteen, Lily had picked out her first and only Pokémon- a Houndour- while Katherine had gone for her Growlithe. But while Lily was a criminal, a thief and uncaring about her victims, she was careful in her targets. The weak and young were not affected. New trainers passed by without incident. Only those with too many Pokémon, or too much money, were targeted by her, and relieved of a Pokémon and a few items. On these occasions, violence sometimes led to be the only option, and Lily learnt quickly how to fight for herself, who to trust- Katherine- and who not to trust- everybody else. But shortly after her fifteenth birthday, Lily committed and act which drew too much attention. She stole a well-known and well-liked trainer’s Absol and sold it on, and in doing so, became featured as one of the most wanted of the region. While at first the police tried to have their siblings turn the twins away from their life of crime- they were young, after all, and still able to turn their lives around- Lily refused, and insisted upon continuing her ways, as did Katherine. And so the police got involved. It was just a few weeks after the police first became involved that Lily was almost caught. Reckless and eager to prove herself still to those whom she sold stolen Pokémon to, she targeted another valuable Pokémon, and was cornered by police. It was only her Houndour that got her out of that situation, and soon after she realised Kanto was not safe anymore. After a discussion, the twins decided to head for the same set of islands.
