This place was kind of creepy, but the unease Lily felt wasn't enough to keep her away. She was on the hunt for a Pokémon- just what, she wasn't sure yet. Hopefully it would turn out to be a dog, or dog-like, or maybe a foxy one. But even if it wasn't, she would still gain from the encounter- Shadow would gain a level if they beat it.

It was without her Pokémon that Lily had begun exploring this place though. Shadow had a habit of loafing around and preferring to wait for something to arrive, and Lily wanted to keep moving, to explore and see everything there was to offer here. Plus it saved her Pokémon's energy, ready for the battle ahead. Because Lily was certain there would be a battle. How could there not be, when her intent was to either capture a Pokémon, or strengthen the one she already trained?

What exactly did she want to catch here, anyway? A Poochyena would be nice, though she wasn't entirely sure what it could offer in coordinating battles. Another Houndour would be interesting. But in truth, Lily wasn't too bothered about what she found. Battle or catch, it didn't matter to her, as long as she gained something from it.

Wild gothita has appeared!

Gothita could see what no one else could see. She was all alone here. She stared intently. She knew that everyone else would see a wall. If they looked closely, they would see mold and dirt crusting the edges, the sickly, rotten yellow paint that covered it. If they looked even closer, close enough to smell the stench of the rotting wood behind the drywall, they could see the texture: tiny bumps and cracks as the paint cracked and boiled from the sun and sleet and rain. But no one could look as closely as Gothita could. No pokemon besides her mother could see as deep as she could. She had never seen another Gothita, nor had she tried to look. She wondered if they could see as deeply as she could. Probably not. She was convinced that she was special. She knew her value to this world. If only they could see what she could see, then maybe they could make their puny lives worth living. There was one thing that Gothita could not see. This was the fact that a human girl could see her.

The sight of a small child-like Pokémon made Lily pause. She recognised the creature, sort of. She had stolen one a while back, used it for target practice. If she remembered correctly, it was a psychic-type. What was its name? Goth-something. Lily couldn't really remember that much, only that it had been useful for around ten minutes whilst she trained another Pokémon with it, before selling it on cheap.

Whatever the case, it certainly wasn't a dog. But it was still perfect for Shadow to battle, and gain some more experience. Without hesitation, she sent out her Houndour. "There's your prey. Go get it," Lily said.

Shadow hesitated for a moment. Lily could almost see her mind working as the order sank in. Then the tricoloured dog's ears flattened and she leapt forwards to stand right behind the psychic Pokémon, opening her mouth to blast the creature with a small flame.

Lily sends out Shadow! Shadow uses Ember! Ability: Flash Fire | Level: 5 Conditions- None Other- None

Gothita could hear the human, but she was too captivated to notice anything besides the wall that was a foot in front of her. She did not care what noises she heard, nor was she bothered by the faint sounds of a pokemon being released from a ball. They were pointless, unimportant sounds, and she made an effort to pay as little attention to them as she could. That was, until she felt heat on her back. She squirmed away from the heat, using her tiny hands to help her shrink away from the fire that had already hurt her back. She was furious. Without a second thought, she turned on Houndour. She leapt at him, her arms outstretched in the hope of catching onto his side. She would jab him over and over with her tiny fists. She wanted to make this thing pay! Unfortunately, her arms were far too tiny and weak to give this pokemon the beating he deserved...
